At St John's, we have a pupil chaplaincy known as the GIFT team. GIFT stands for Growing In Faith Together. The GIFT team is made up of pupil volunteers from Years 5&6 who would like to not only develop their own faith and spirituality, but also help to guide and develop the faith and spirituality of the younger children in the school by upholding the Catholic ethos of our school.
The GIFT team connects with pupils in our school in a way that staff cannot. The main duties of the GIFT team is organising and monitoring activities in the prayer corner during break times, leading Celebrations of the Word, leading prayers and reflections, maintaining links with our parish community and organising charity events in school for the GIFT team's chosen charity of the year.
*The GIFT team is new for 2024/25 and replaces the previous Mini Vinnies team.
